Naïka Champaïgne is a Haitian, Queer multi-instrumentalist and multidisciplinary artist (model, actor and professional trainer) born and raised in Montreal (Tio’tia:ke). She blends the sounds of Neo-soul, Funk, Folk, Blues, Rock and Hip-Hop in her compositions and songwriting.

Naïka Champaïgne began her musical journey by attending the Joseph-François Perrault musical high school in Montreal, where she received classical training in clarinet and saxophone. Her passion for music intensified when she began composing original songs within the walls of this school. Soon after, she formed a band called Strange Froots with her bandmate Mags, where they create a musical genre they call ”Alternative chill-soul”.

Her sonic universe spans from Progressive rock, Funk, Folk, Neo-soul, Jazz, Blues, R&B and Hip-Hop. Everything is then wrapped in stories and images that led to her first solo album, “Painted Imageries.” Music has always been a way for her to share, learn, live and exist fully. Her second album, ”Purple N Blue” is a more refined continuation, further blending the ambient and rhythmic sounds of ”Painted Imageries”. Stay tuned for its release in late 2025!
